Close As A Cloud: Rick, as felt by his beloved sister, Pat, in New Zealand.
Pat writes on November 2, 2020: "This cloud was with me as I looked up, on horseback in New Zealand, last year on this date, 11/2/19. So special, so unique, like Rick! I rode on below it, love for Rick glowing bright. I'm remembering that cloud, and Rick, on this date and always."
Endless as the sky, loving thoughts of Rick continue.

Two years, and the love Rick is burns on and on. Look up, of course.

Lilac-loving Rick-sister Pat is looking up in Rochester, to the sky, through the lilacs...
Rick's skylooking son Luke sends a picture of sky over the French Pyrenees, and writes on November 1, 2017:
As the anniversary of Rick's passing comes near, the pain of grief is ever present.
Its presence shifts from comfort in a lonely place to pain in a time of joy.
I traveled Europe during the summer months, spending time in Berlin, France, Portugal, Croatia, Ireland, and more. I traveled with catharsis in mind. I was hoping to find myself and move on with my grief. I learned that the pain of my father's loss will be with me forever. I'll be happy to see him in my mind when I'm experiencing beauty. I'll be sad to be without him when I marry, and when I have my first child and his grandchild.
I'll carry him with me forever along with the pain and the joy.
It's easy to be greedy with the memories of loved ones; we always want more, but if we are grateful for the ones we have, we won't be spiteful for the ones we never had.
