Drone aerial footage!
Rick had hoped to capture drone video over his beloved childhood home, Windamere Woods, before he died...but the weather wasn't quite right on the days he had left.
Ever the mentor, Rick encouraged family friend and new drone pilot, college junior Aaron Hathaway of St. Paul, to collaborate on the Windamere Woods project with another drone videographer --even though Aaron had only gotten his drone-pilot FAA license a week before sending the sample footage above to Rick. It is the first footage Aaron shot as a "pro", sweeping over his college town, Madison, Wisconsin, in early fall--and earning an enthusiastic spray of exclamation points from Rick. Like this: !!!!!
